One-to-one Coaching for Your Executive Leaders

Become the extraordinary leader you were meant to be.
Your journey starts here

A 6–9-month coaching programme for senior leaders who are going through a leadership transition and would benefit from external coaching and support in a confidential environment. This one-to-one coaching programme is designed to help leaders elevate performance, enhance visibility, and dramatically increase their impact.

“Learn how to own your true authentic leadership style to get maximum results in your teams without burnout.”

Critical to this work is understanding that each person has an exclusive blend of skills and preferences that make them an exceptional leader. The best leaders are authentic leaders. We therefore work together to identify their natural styles, strengths and unique qualities, and build on them for impact.

Bringing an external coach in to your business is like parachuting in a highly motivated, skilled, and experienced expert to focus on a specific objective for a set time period. From visibility and leadership, to performance and results, I can provide support and challenge for  leaders who are being asked to step up in their roles.

.

The world hates change yet it is the only thing that has ever brought progress.

– Charles Kettering

Who is this for?

This is perfect for professionals who want to unleash the extraordinary leader that lies within. If you’re new to leadership or an established leader who’s ready to step up a level, I can help.

As an experienced Executive level coach, I can provide targeted additional support and learning and development for your middle to senior leaders who are:

  • New to a more senior role and need support during their transition
  • Competent at what they do, and are being challenged to be more visible or effective in their role
  • Have the makings of a fantastic leader, but are experiencing a block that must be addressed to fulfil their potential; and/or
  • Are delivering to an exceptionally high standard but in a way that is not sustainable and are at risk of burnout

There are multiple benefits of bringing in a senior external coach to work with an individual who can focus on a very specific area for 6-9 months, including:

  • A safe and confidential space for the client to unravel their thinking and process their next steps
  • Increase in self-awareness that enables the client to lead themselves and then others much more effectively; and,
  • No load from an internal agenda which means that they can focus on development in an objective way

“Choose Jo for anything to do with leadership, work-life balance, making sense of your career and the next steps, personal change (and coping strategies), personal branding, and how to get the best out of your teams.”

How does this work?

The one-to-one coaching programme is designed to help leaders elevate performance, enhance visibility, and dramatically increase their impact.

Often leaders have operated very well at a certain level, and need a new level of challenge and support in a new, more senior role, or as a result of large organisational change. This support can come internally from leaders, mentors, and line managers. But often, the addition of a focused, external coach can provide dedicated support to help the leader step up, take full responsibility for their development areas and own their true authentic leadership style. We work together to get maximum results in their teams without creating burnout.

“Jo asks a really provocative question and just leaves it hanging because it is a question I should be asking myself but I push it away. Jo holds the space to allow time to reflect on it and get honest with yourself.”

Before starting the sessions, I will work with you to discuss the ideal outcomes for our time together, the needs of the wider business and the goals of the organisation.

I then work with the coaching client for 6-9 months to achieve those goals, working in the best possible way to maximise the natural skills, abilities and preferences of the client.

“You do what’s right for that person in that space. You understand the complexity of how work and personal life are interconnected and how one plays off the other. You work with the whole person.”

We begin with a half-day deep dive into the client’s ambitions, their performance and the challenges ahead of them. We find what we can build on and we find what needs focus. My number one goal is to help ensure the client feels excited, reassured and engaged with the work ahead.

With the company’s goals in focus, alongside the ambitions and dreams of the client, we then work with intention over the programme of sessions to clear the blocks and work towards the key outcomes.

Critical to this work is understanding that each person has an exclusive blend of skills and preferences that make them an exceptional leader. The best leaders are authentic leaders. We therefore work in partnership to identify their natural styles, strengths and unique qualities and build on them for impact.

Typically, this programme runs for 6-9 months and we meet monthly, via Zoom, in person or a combination of the two.

“Jo has so much experience. She never comes into a session with an agenda. She asks questions. You answer. And she pulls from decades of experience and hundreds of interventions to help you exactly how you need it in that moment. She’s pretty magical like that!”

Who is this for?

Typically, I help leaders to:

  • Eliminate imposter syndrome and increase visibility with their teams and senior leadership
  • Refocus and re-align fragmented teams, due to post-lockdown and return to offic
  • Lead change and activate performance without burnout
  • Develop and implement self-care strategies that work and are achievable
  • Balance people and results, leveraging their natural leadership style
  • Manage overwhelming and conflicting priorities to get things done
  • Improve their communication styles, across the board
  • Develop their personal brand, ready for promotion
  • Meet tough conversations head on with poise and understanding
  • Identify how to work at their learning edge to build confidence
  • Create personal development plans that focus on how they want to evolve as a leader vs a list of corporate objectives

Before beginning a new coaching arrangement, I will engage with the relevant stakeholders so that there is a mutual understanding of what we are trying to achieve, and they are aware of how they can support progress internally. This ensures full transparency of where we are heading and from thereon in, the conversations remain confidential. This approach builds trust and fuels progress.

“Jo provides one-to-one and group programmes to leaders and their teams to facilitate change, develop authentic leadership styles and get better results.”

“Jo is a fountain of knowledge and an inspiring coach (with excellent dress sense 😊) and I would recommend her for those who want to be challenged and who want to make change in what they are doing.”

What is different about Jo’s approach

Here are recent client testimonials to give you a flavour of my approach, style and impact:

“Jo’s coaching style really helped ‘turn on the lights’ and gave me clarity and head space to think about it.”

“And after working with her I have improved my style and approach (still keeping authentic) when leading a challenging team to deliver results (Launch meetings, launch readiness reviews, approvals) and have had more difficult conversations with senior management which I would have previously shied away from.”

“I would recommend Jo because she compassionately challenges you and is a wealth of wisdom with pragmatism. She understands the realities of corporate life and family life but doesn’t judge your actions. She wants you to understand your actions and thinking. She gives the kind of insights and clarity in a way that isn’t too intrusive.”

“You are not trying to change me and I think that is really important. You allow people to be their authentic self.”

“You helped me realise the importance of boundaries and self-care is a priority and something you shouldn’t deprioritise and not to underestimate the important of reflection for yourself.”

“Jo holds the space to allow time to reflect on it and get honest with yourself.”

“Jo introduced me to coaching and a lot of the self-limiting beliefs I had. I have been more open and receptive to other people’s perspective from our conversations and I now have a totally different relationship with important people in my life. Jo introduced me to insight and how people communicate differently. So much of my life Jo is thanks to you.”

“I feel I understand myself a lot better in terms of my reactions / thought process. I also believe I have made positive changes in my leadership style because of my work with Jo and have a better understanding of looking at situations from a different perspective. The big thing I have also learnt is what I can personally control and change rather than focusing on other people and their behaviours.”

“I found working with Jo to be a wonderful, thought provoking experience which has pushed me out of my comfort zone.”

“Jo has a wealth of knowledge and frameworks that she can reference in any given situation. Anything I bring up, Jo can hook it to something that is tangible and evidence based. Jo just makes things easy to understand because she brings life stories to it.”

“Genuine, great at listening – tailors her style to the individual. As a woman I can say that she is very relatable and has lots of experience. No pressure and appreciates that some people need to reflect but doesn’t let something go either. Very flexible.”

“You provide really useful insights and appreciate that people are busy, and you are able to flex to different paces depending on what people have going on.”

“ A lot of my resilience comes from the conversations that we have had”

“You do what’s right for that person in that space. You understand the complexity of how work and personal life is interconnected and how one plays off the other. You work with the whole person.”
